Jennifer Smoter

Jennifer Smoter joined UnitedHealth Group in March 2021 as senior vice president and chief communications officer. She leads the Corporate Communications team responsible for enhancing the reputation of UnitedHealth Group. In this role, Smoter oversees External Communications, Digital and Social Media, Employee Engagement and Human Capital Communications. Previously, Smoter was senior vice president, External Affairs & Communications at the biotech startup company, Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. Before Intellia, she was head of Communications & Brand at AbbVie, and held various global communications leadership positions at Abbott Laboratories, Inc.
